The Transfer Credit Database is a tool that allows students to view how courses at other institutions have transferred into the University of New Hampshire. The information provided in the Transfer Credit Database is constantly being updated and does not substitute for an official evaluation of transfer credit by the Office of the Registrar. No transfer credit is official until credits appear on the student's UNH transcript. Grades for transfer coursework do not calculate into the UNH GPA. We encourage you to visit the database often and to consult with your academic advisor for final determination as to how specific courses might apply to your degree program.

How to Use This Database:
  • Some transfer courses have previously been evaluated as equivalent to courses offered at UNH. When this is the case, the UNH equivalent course will display in the "UNH Equivalent" column.
  • When a course has not been evaluated as equivalent to a UNH course, it will appear with a generic subject and course code (e.g. TRAN CRED or ENGL TRAN).
    • It is at the discretion of a student’s academic advisor if a course can satisfy a major requirement.
  • If a course has been approved to satisfy a Discovery requirement, this will display in the "Discovery Categories" column.
    • If nothing is listed in the "Discovery Categories" column, the course will be accepted as general elective credit.
    • Users can filter previously evaluated courses by Discovery category. To filter courses, click the "Discovery Categories" drop-down menu and select the Discovery category of interest. Click the "Get Courses" button.
      • If the Discovery category of interest is not listed in the drop-down menu, no courses from the institution have been approved to satisfy that Discovery requirement.
